We can refer you to our list of Professional Installers who can come to your site and help with consultations and measurements. Prior to manufacturing we require your measurements to be forwarded to us. If you are ordering the deck or front porch panel, we always recommend you to install your posts first, and then measure the distance between your wooden posts. We can then manufacture your panels exactly to your requirements.
Design Studio Art Caprice manufactures and supplies your orders only and does not provide installation services. However, we are running an Installer Referral Program on our website and are collecting contact info of qualified installers who can provide professional installation services for your products ordered from Design Studio Art Caprice. Please note: The Professional Installers are independent contractors and are not financed by Design Studio Art Caprice. Our goal is to reduce the cost of installation for our customers, therefore by doing so we don’t profit from their services for you. If you need help, please let us know, we will send you an email with a list of professional installers in your area.
Design Studio Art Caprice offers widely customizable options for both interior and exterior products in a wide variety of sizes and colors. In order to meet the highest customer expectations, Design Studio Art Caprice manufactures all products as they are ordered. We try to keep our turnaround times as quick as possible, but these depend on the complexity and amount of work that needs to be done. All types of residential railing panels, which are used for decks, balconies, lofts, porches and other interior or exterior custom railing projects usually take between 6-9 days of production time.
The working area of the laser cut table is 150 cm x 300 cm, this is the maximum metal panel size we can manufacture for your needs. Residential railings are recommend in two standard panel sizes - 6 feet long or 8 feet long with a typical 36 inch railing height. The most popular balcony railing and deck railing panels are 6 feet long and have a standard height of 30 inch. Durable powder coated steel railings can be used outside on your deck or inside for stairs, balconies, lofts and etc. The residential railing standard is mild steel 1/8" (3.2mm) thick. You can upgrade it to 3/16’’ (4.8mm) for an additional 10%, but is not necessary because a 1/8’’ panel is durable, tough, does not have sharp edges after cutting out the design and looks nice. Thicker 3/16’’ panels are heavier and will simply raise the price of your delivery cost. A railing that is designed properly to meet the code does not require anything thicker than 1/8’’ steel.
The more complex design of railings – the more expensive the product becomes. This formula pushes some companies to offer solutions by adding Plexiglas to the behind of the product until after the inspection process is over, then, you have to remove it. This is not an option for us, to us safety is a very important concern. All of Design Studio Art Caprice's railing products follow the code requirements of a maximum of a 4”opening between spaces.
